Denman Island Bus Service Town Trips

Due to the limited number of seats on the bus, we are asking people to please reserve their seat, using the sign-up sheet at the Guesthouse (3806 Denman Road).

Due to our funding structure, the “fare” for this service is technically by donation, but in order to cover the cost of the ferry, fuel, and the wages of the driver, we would strongly suggest that a $30 donation (which covers all fees) is fair.

Please limit your shopping to what you can reasonably fit on the bus, based on how many other passengers are riding.

Itinerary

10:00am – Meet at Community Hall (1196 NW Rd).
10:15am – Depart Community Hall for ferry.
10:40am/11am* – Catch ferry to Buckley Bay. (*= add 30 mins if catching the 11am ferry instead)
12pm* - Arrive in Courtenay.

Drop-offs:
12:05pm - Driftwood Mall
12:10pm -The Laundry
12:25pm - Superstore
12:35pm - Courtenay Public Library

“Shuffle”: (Bus makes another circuit of drop-off points to allow passengers to go to multiple locations.)
1pm – Driftwood Mall
1:10pm - The Laundry
1:25pm - Superstore
1:35pm - Courtenay Public Library

Final pick-up:
2pm – Driftwood Mall
2:10pm - The Laundry
2:25pm - Superstore
2:35pm - Courtenay Public Library

3pm – Return to Buckley Bay
3:40pm/4pm – Catch ferry back to Denman West. (*= add 30 mins if catching the 4pm ferry instead)
4pm* - Milk run to drop everyone back home with their groceries!
